MM Saheb Ali, Asashuni (Satkhira) Correspondent : Scholarships, reception of newly elected people’s representatives and cultural evening have been held at Asashuni Sriula on the 6th anniversary of the voluntary organization Udarata.
Dipankar Bachar Dipu, the newly elected chairman of Sriula UP, was the chief guest at a function organized by the Southern Project Office of Udrata at Mariyala Secondary School premises in Sriula Union of the upazila yesterday afternoon.
Dipu, who was the chief guest at the meeting, chaired by Udita’s chairman Nilima Jisan, said that the organization called Udrata had extended a helping hand to the affected people in the waterlogged area of the devastated Sriula Union in Amphan and was still carrying out many visible service works. I have learned that their work has been hampered by the Union Council in the past, which is a shameful act. He assured to extend all possible cooperation from the council to further expand the activities of all service organizations including generosity from now on.
Headmaster Aziar Rahman, former president of Asashuni Press Club GM Mujibur Rahman, Nagendra Nath, A’League leader Saiful Islam Bablu, youth leader Alauddin Lucky, teachers Moslem Uddin etc.
On the occasion, newly elected UP Chairman Lecturer Dipankar Bachar Dipu was given a reception on behalf of generosity, teachers and youth.
Finally a cultural evening was organized.
